Hello! I am Kaushik Biswas, a software developer with 1 and a half years of work experience. I specialize in building scalable and efficient high quality backend of web servers. i.e. I can handle your databases, APIs, crons, s2s calls etc.
I have completed my B.Tech from IIT Kharagpur in 2019. After graduation I joined Payu as a software developer where I have worked with various teams on a wide varity of projects.

01.Payu

Day-to-day responsibilities include BAU and engineering enhancements of 5 web services. All new features are completed with rigorous unit testings.
Personally redesigned and rewritten a client facing microservice that is reponsible for processing online card transactions of several major banks in India(e.g. SBI, AMEX, HDFC etc). This upgraded system has shown 30% increase in max TPS, 60% decrease in max latency and it has ~92% unit test coverage.
Extensively used Kibana and Grafana dashboard and alerting for real time monitoring of web services health and performance.
Created Custom library on top of Hystrix for dynamically handling fallback and selecting preferred transaction flow. Integrated it as a feature in the existing web services for maintaining the already established line of communication with reduced latency and fail rate, making the client experience smoother and faster.

02.AlohaMora [WIP]

AlohaMora is a free, open source password management software.

This project is still in the making. The desktop app is almost completed. My next step for this project will be to build the browser extension.
